The petition which was started by Eric Williams on Change.org asked to have actor/activist Jesse Williams fired from the show Grey's Anatomy stating his speech at the BET awards was "racist" and a "hate speech" against law enforcement and white people at the BET awards. The petition, has garnered about 1,796 signatures

The CBN has approved the reconstitution of the Board of Skye Bank PLC. By the reconstitution, Alhaji M.K Ahmad has been appointed as the new Chairman of the Board, while Mr. Tokunbo Abiru has been appointed as the new Group Managing Director and CEO. Messrs. The Central Bank of Nigeria sacked the management team of Skye Bank yesterday over capital adequacy issues. The bank's top executives on getting wind of their impending sack, resigned en-mass yesterday morning. The bank's Chairman, Tunde Ayeni and its Managing Director, led other executive and non-executive board members to tender their resignation before the apex bank announced the dissolution of the bank's management team yesterday afternoon. 

Four Saudi security force members were killed  on Monday  after a suicide outside one of Islam's holiest sites, the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, a Saudi-owned television channel reported. Al-Arabiya news channel showed images of fire raging in a parking lot with at least one body nearby and said the suicide attack took place in a parking lot between the city court and the mosque. The  Nigerian Prisons Service (NPS)  has suspended 14 officers in connection with the recent Kuje Prison break.                              This is contained in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja by  Francis Enobore , the NPS spokesperson and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

A Cameroonian Christian converted to Islam on Friday night at the Rashidiya Grand Mosque, opposite the Dubai International Airport. Below is how Khaleej Times reported it: "What a night! Thousands of worshippers flocked to the Rashidiya Grand mosque, opposite the Dubai International Airport, late on Friday to mark the most important night of the year in Islam, Al Qadr Night.  "Popular Kuwaiti imam Shaikh Mishary Rashid Alafasy, known for his tuneful voice, mesmerised the faithful with his serene and touchy Quran recitation in the Tahajud Prayers at 12.30 after midnight. 

Ahmed Musa Premier League champions  Leicester City  have agreed a deal with  CSKA Moscow  to sign Nigeria forward  Ahmed Musa , the player’s agent disclosed on Monday. The 23-year-old, who joined CSKA in 2012 and scored 54 goals in 168 games, is set to sign for a club record fee at the Foxes. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that Leicester City stunned all last season on their way to the English title. “Everything has been finalised and Musa will be in England for his medical on Wednesday,’’ his agent,  Tony Harris , said.
