Boko Haram carried out the deadliest single Jihadist attack in Nov. - BBC report

According to statistics by the BBC World Service and International Centre for the study of Radicalization, Nigeria's terror group, Boko Haram, carried out the second highest number of terror attacks in the month of November in the world and the deadliest single attack which was at the Kano Central Mosque bombing which killed over 100 people. According to the statistics, 5,042 deaths from 664 jihadist attacks were recorded in the month of November with Iraq, Nigeria, Syria and Afghanistan accounting for 80% of the total death toll.

Runa Khan jailed for Facebook Syria terror posts

A mother-of-six has been jailed for five years and three months for promoting terrorism on Facebook. Runa Khan, from Luton, had previously admitted inciting terrorism in Syria. Khan, 35, of Maple Road West, had posted a picture of a suicide vest and unwittingly passed details of a route into the country to an undercover police officer. During sentencing, Kingston Crown Court heard police had found photos of Khan's children holding guns and swords. Judge Peter Birts QC said the "only fair interpretation" of those pictures was that Khan had intended to radicalise others.                                                In an interview with BBC Newsnight, she said: "I was posting up my belief." Streets were heavily flooded in the town of Healdsburg, California More than 220,000 people are without power after heavy rains and high winds slammed northern California. The storm brought rainfall of more than an inch an hour in San Francisco and winds gusts of 140mph (225km/h) in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Flooding has already closed two major motorways in the area, delayed public transport, cancelled 240 flights and shut ferry services. Okorocha Picks Imo APC Governorship Ticket After Losing Presidential

The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has picked the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in absentia as he was still in Lagos for the party’s National Convention which ended on Thursday evening. Okorocha’s emergence as the party’s governorship flag bearer in the state came barely few hours after coming fourth in the just concluded APC presidential primary elections at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos. During the Owerri event, which took place at the Imo International Conference Centre, the Commissioner for Lands and Urban Planning, Uche Nwosu, who was secretly adopted as the APC governorship candidate by the party’s delegates, announced his withdrawal from the race. Mary Ann Mobley Ex-Miss America Dies from Breast Cancer

Mary Ann Mobley -- one of the first Miss America winners to make it big in show business -- died on Tuesday in Beverly Hills after a long battle with breast cancer. Mobley won the 1959 Miss America pageant before breaking into Hollywood. She appeared in several big movies in the '60s ... including "Girl Happy" and "Harum Scarum" with Elvis Presley. In 1967, Mary Ann married actor and TV host Gary Collins ... who passed away in 2012. She went on to star in tons of TV shows through the '70s and '80s -- among them ... "Love, American Style," "Fantasy Island," "Diff'rent Strokes," and "Hotel." Mobley was also famous for her humanitarian work with children in Cambodia, Ethiopia, and the Sudan. Mary Ann's family says she will buried next week in her native Mississippi. She was 75.
