A German study suggests that watching porn may be linked to reduced activity in certain areas of the brain A new study finds that men who watch a lot of pornography tend to have less gray matter volume as well as less activity in the region of the brain linked to rewards. The German study, published in JAMA Psychiatry and which analyzed a relatively small sample, provides the first evidence which could lead to establishing a link between pornography consumption and brain size. However, it did not determine whether watching porn leads to the decreased volume and activity, or if people born with certain brain characteristics watch more porn. The study’s researchers questioned 64 healthy men aged 21 to 45 about their porn watching habits. They also examined how their brains reacted to pornographic images and took images of their brains in order to measure volume. \ At least 36 migrants drowned when their boat sank off the Libyan coast earlier this week, officials said, following the recovery of more bodies on Sunday. The navy said it rescued 52 people when the boat sank on Tuesday, but survivors say there were 130 people on board. On Saturday Libya's interior minister urged the European Union (EU) to do more to help stem the tide of migrants. Libya is the preferred crossing point for many African migrants trying to enter the EU. Libyan navy spokesman Ayoub Kassem told the BBC that the boat capsized about 4km (2.5 miles) out to sea near the Libyan coastal town of Garabouli. The bottom of the boat had collapsed, causing it to capsize, he said. At least 54 people remain missing, he added. On Sunday 24 more bodies were recovered from the sea near Garabouli, bringing the death toll to 36. Mr Kassem added that the migrants were from various sub-Saharan African countries including Mali, Cameroon, Ghana, Gambia and Burkina Faso. T...

He said “Howard University didn’t just save my life, it entered my soul…my heart, my being and my spirit.” Last month, students at the university protested that he was selected to speak having drop out of the institution.

There are strong indications that the terrorist sect, Boko Haram, may have moved some of the over 200 schoolgirls it abducted from Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State out of West Africa. There were reports on Friday that some of the abducted schoolgirls were seen in Birao, Central African Republic with armed men.  Birao is a small town in the north of the CAR. The Islamic sect had abducted pupils of the school on April 14 and taken them into the forests along the Nigeria-Cameroon border. Over 50 of the pupils escaped while being moved out of the school. An online report by a French news medium, Jeune Afrique, on Friday, said villagers saw about 50 young women led by armed men in the North Central African Republic last week.
