Child star  Zendaya  is the cover star for the August 2016 issue of  Essence magazine. For the cover shoot the 19-year old actress jetted off to Rio de Janeiro to strike a pose. Zendaya is not one to hide from voicing her thoughts and in the magazine she explains why she has made it her mission to use her voice to speak out against any and all racial injustices. She says “When I talk to people about [standing up for myself], it’s not new. It’s not something I just started doing. Taylor Swift is the world's highest paid celebrity of 2016 with a staggering income of $170 million in the past year. The earnings mostly came from her 1989 World Tour, in which she smashed the Rolling Stones’ North American touring record, grossing $250 million. Other income sources included promotions for Diet Coke, Keds and Apple. One Direction comes in second place with $110million, while Author James Patterson pulled in $95 million to snag the No. 3 spot. Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo and TV personality Dr. Phil round out the top five with $88 million apiece. The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone ‘C’, Owerri has continued to beam its search light on smugglers of contraband goods in the country resulting in the seizure of a total of one hundred and sixty-nine (169) items with a Duty Paid Value (DPV) of one billion, three hundred and seventy-nine million, seven hundred and seventy-two thousand, five hundred and seventeen naira (N1,379,772,517.00) and a total of three hundred and ninety-four million, eight hundred and fifteen thousand, and thirty eight naira (N 394,815,038.00) as an underpayment recovered within the period in question; forty-two (42) suspects were arrested in connection with the seizures made, while twenty-five (25) cases are now pending in court for possible prosecution of the culprits between January and June this year. This is in contrast with a total of N39,644,813.00 underpayment recovered and a DPV of N1,013,833,362.00 which the unit recorded in the year 2015.
