Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has been endorsed by a Southeast based political pressure group, Turaki East Alliance, TEA, as Nigeria’s president in 2015.

TEA, which reportedly has about 100,000 members, called on Nigerians to back the Turakin Adamawa for president as such would solve the leadership challenges confronting Nigeria.

On why they settled for Atiku, the national Coordinator of TEA, Comrade Peter Akubuo, said the country needs a man who has the interest of the people at heart.

Akubuo explained that Atiku stands out from other aspirants because of his credibility and steadfastness and he has been in the forefront of rotational presidency in the country.

He further disclosed that the group after their general meeting held at the weekend in Owerri, the Imo state capital, appealed to Atiku to join the presidential race without further delay.

Akubuo said they have already commenced a door to door sensitization of Ndigbo on the need to support the Atiku Agenda.

Meanwhile, the Presidential campaign posters of the former Vice President were seen at strategic locations in the Southeast states earlier in the week.
