See by Chloé Pre-Fall 2015
Pre-fall marks a fresh start for See by Chloé; the brand’s production has been fully brought in-house to its Paris headquarters. As a result, average price points have dipped (from $595 to $395) and the design team has embarked on a bit of rebranding, evidenced by a new heart and lip motif logo.
Clare Waight Keller explored an equestrian theme in her whimsical lineup, with galloping horse prints on silk and knitwear separates, while more subtle influences included copper-tinted hardware, fringe detailing and denim looks with braided pockets. She also worked feminine touches such as floral lace, eyelet embroidery and pointillistic prints on boyish silhouettes, and her outerwear — particularly a reversible quilted coat with checked lining and panels of bouclé tweed — was a highlight.
