Heineken Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2015 Maki Oh Collection - BellaNaija - October 20150017Nigerian designer, Amaka Osakwe of Maki Oh, showcased her Spring/Summer 2016 collection at Heineken Lagos Fashion & Design Week Day 2, and it was treat for all Maki Oh fans (which covers virtually everybody).
The collection, inspired by Amaka’s curiosity into the absurdity of life, featured silk satin adiré wrap dresses, rainbow coloured fabric inserts, aso-oke fringe detailing, indigo-dyed adiré and loose thread embroidery on beautifully crafted pieces. In all, a fabulous collection!

Her bridal collection is for the chill, whimsical bride, with a touch of luxury – the embroidery on some pieces is truly spectacular. Elie Saab at Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Fall / Winter 2016

The Fall/ Winter Haute Couture Fashion week in Paris began on the July, 3rd and ended on July 7th 2016 with the appearance of a few of our favourite bridal designer showcasing their new and beautiful collections with admirable bridal inspired styles. Lebanese fashion designer  Elie Saab  introduced  The Light of Now  collection offering 3-d floral appliques, statement necklines, enchanting embroidery with the colours ranging from the golden gates of heaven to midnight purple and blue and desirable statement pieces in noir. All outfits were accompanied with stunning jewellery enhancing the elegant, sophisticated theme with runway glam – including an appearance from Nigerian Elite Model Management Model  Mayowa Nicholas.
