Nigerians Spent $350m on Healthcare in India in 2013

The High Commissioner of Nigeria to India, Ambassador Ndubuisi Amaku,  has disclosed that Nigerians expended about $350million to access various levels of healthcare in India in 2013 alone.
This is as he added that the volume of trade between Nigeria and India rose to $17.3 billion in 2012.
He said during  a round-table discussion focusing on Nigeria on the sidelines of the ongoing 10th CII-EXIM Bank Conclave on India Africa Project Partnership in New Delhi, Monday   that the money was expended by just about one percent of the Nigerian population who can afford to pay for quality healthcare.
Amaku urged the Indian businessmen to therefore consider investing in healthcare facilities in Nigeria to provide options for patients who may  not be able to travel to India for medical attention.
