Justin Bieber Detained by U.S. Customs Officials After Flying Into Los Angeles From Japan

The beleaguered Canadian pop star hit a bump upon his return to the United States after touching down at LAX today on an Air Singapore flight from Tokyo.
Eyewitnesses tell E! News that U.S. Customs officials have been questioning the 20-year-old for the last two hours inside the airport's Tom Bradley International Terminal. Bieber's entourage has been standing around waiting for him
Since being charged with driving under the influence in Miami in January, Bieber has traveled abroad, having immediately jetted off to Panama for some R&R after his Florida arrest. He is also facing an assault charge in his native Canada in connection with an alleged attack on a limo driver in Toronto back in December.
Bieber was also briefly detained while traveling from Canada to New Jersey for Super Bowl festivities in February.

Officials at Teterboro Airport questioned him and searched the group's private jet for drugs before granting the star and his entourage entry into the States after being tipped off to the possible presence of marijuana onboard. The search came up empty and the entire party was allowed to proceed.
An airport spokesperson had no additional information on what the issue was today. U.S. Customs and Border Protection tells E! News that the agency cannot comment on an individual's processing due to privacy laws, "our CBP officers are charged with enforcing not only immigration and customs laws, but they also enforce over 400 laws for 40 other agencies and have stopped thousands of violators of U.S. law."
Applicants for admission to the U.S. bear the burden of proof to ensure that they are "clearly eligible" to enter the country, and in order to demonstrate that they're admissible, "the applicant must overcome ALL grounds of inadmissibility," the statement continued.
TMZ reported after Bieber's Super Bowl trip that sources were saying the kid could expect similar treatment every time he entered the country.
