Rush for Jonathan’s ‘daughter’s’ wedding empties confab hall

Image
The rush by delegates to attend the marriage ceremony of a daughter of President Goodluck Jonathan raised unease among some delegates who frowned that conferees abandoned national issues for socializing. About half of the delegates abandoned proceedings Thursday to enable them travel to attend the wedding coming up, Saturday, March 5, 2014 in Bayelsa State. When the conference chairman, Justice Idris Kutigi called for contributions to the debate of the President’s speech, many of the delegates were not around as their seats were empty. The immediate past Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqayyatu Ahmed Rufai (Jigawa) and former Head of Service, Engr. Ebele Okeke were among those who took permission to speak ahead of their scheduled slots to enable them go ahead for the ceremony. Their requests were, however, granted by Justice Kutigi. Showering without water: Meet Ludwick Marishane is the creator of DryBath

Image
An innovative hygiene product for daily bathing that is designed to save water. DryBath is a germ-killing gel that allows you to take a bath without using a single drop of water or soap -- all you need is to apply the gel on your skin and then vigorously rub it off using your hands. "The special formula will cover the whole body with the cleansing gel, which will use the vigorous rubbing to lift the dirt off the skin," explains Ludwick Marishane, the inventor of DryBath and founder of Headboy Industries . The 23-year-old entrepreneur came up with his revolutionary idea back in 2007, during a hot winter day when he was relaxing with some friends under the blazing sun in Limpopo, northern South Africa.   "Man, why doesn't somebody invent something that you can just put on your skin and you don't have to bathe,"   quipped one of his pals, complaining that he didn't feel like having a shower -- and this got Marishane thinking. Rob Kardashian Posts, Then Deletes, Tweet About 'How Much It Hurts'

Image
From the looks of it, the Kardashian-Jenner clan had the time of their lives on their recent Thailand vacation, posting photos of beach jaunts and pool dips – and, as was the case with Kim Kardashian,  fleeing from overly chummy elephants. Although Bruce Jenner and sons Brody and Brandon also joined the getaway, noticeably missing were Kourtney Kardashian  and Scott Disick, as well as Rob Kardashian, who posted a cryptic Tweet early Wednesday morning.  "No one will ever understand how much it hurts," it read.  Shortly afterward, however, Rob purged his entire Twitter feed, deleting all his old posts and rebooting his account with – as of Thursday afternoon – a single Tweet taht read : "mi Familia is home! Yeeee!!"  A source close to the family says that the reality star and creator of the Arthur George sock line "hasn't been happy lately," noting that Rob, who struggled with weight gain on the show, "still doesn't like the way he looks.&quo

Launched in late 2012, the school allows students to access their classes at any time of the day with any internet-enabled device. "We are providing executive programs for graduates who are looking for employment and want to build up their resumes, or managers who want to climb up the hierarchy of their companies," says Ukanwoke, now 25. "We also have courses targeted at people who want to start their own business." 'Nigeria's Mark Zuckerberg' Ukanwoke's idea to start BAU came from his previous online venture called   Students Circle , an educational social networking site he'd launched while in university that allows learners to interact and access free resources from leading schools.
