Damien Gurganious Dead: Biggest Loser Alum Dies at 38

The Biggest Loser family is in mourning. Season 7 alum Damien Gurganious died at the age of 38 on Monday, Nov. 24, Us Weekly can confirm. Gurganious, who celebrated his birthday just one week before his passing, suffered from a sudden onset of a rare autoimmune disorder that caused bleeding in his brain. "He was a pillar of his family, an amazing son, brother, cousin and uncle," his family tells Us in an exclusive statement. "He was an incredible husband and father to his two-year old daughter, Giselle. He was an inspiration and a mentor to so many. His love for his family and friends was immense." Gurganious and his then-fiancee Nicole Brewer Gurganious appeared on the NBC reality competition in January 2009 and were eliminated in the third week. They married in August of that year. She said that by such reports, her husband is only paying the price for marrying an actress. Governor of Imo state and a presidential aspirant of the APC, Chief Rochas Okorocha, says that the reign of terror by Boko Haram members in Nigeria will not stop if President Jonathan is re-elected President in 2015. According to Sahara Reporters, Chief Okorocha said this in Akure Ondo state while campaigning for votes for the party's Presidential primaries which holds next week Wednesday December 10th “If President Jonathan wins the forthcoming election Boko Haram would never stop and if PDP has what it takes to stop this carnage they would have done it a long time ago" he said.

Over 10 soldiers died during the Ashaka, Gombe state terror attack-DHQ

The Defence Headquarters says over 10 soldiers lost their lives during the Boko Haram attack at Ashaka town in Gombe state on Thursday December 4th. In a statement released yesterday, the Defence headquarters said many Boko Haram members were also killed. The terrorists who had come in large number with heavy equipment & convoy of over 30 vehicles & a number of motor cycles, were on a mission to take control of Ashaka town, after they had operated in Bajoga & environ in Gombe state. Another unarmed black man shot dead after police mistook his pill bottle for gun

A Phoenix  white police officer on Tuesday December 2nd, shot dead Rumain Brisbon, a 34 year old father of four, after he mistook Brisbon's pill bottle for a gun. According to Phoenix police report, Brisbon was suspected of peddling hard drugs. Following a tip-off, he was approached by a 30 year old white police cop to asked him to come down from his Cadillac SUV for a search which he agreed to. According to the police version of events, while coming down from his vehicle, Brisbon was said to have 'appeared to be removing something' from the rear seat. The officer instructed him to show his hands but instead Brisbon placed one or both hands in his waistband area before fleeing to a nearby apartment building. The police officer pursued him and they claim he refused the officers command asking him to get on the ground. Then they claim he began insulting the officer who he struggled with after he was caught. The police report said “During the struggle Brisbon put his
