The Film house  at Apapa mall witnessed a large turnout of celebrities and guests as  Audio Visual First  in partnership with  Brooks and Blake  premiered four awesome movies simultaneously in its  50 Naira Story Initiative , last Sunday. This epic outing featured four movies and the guests were allowed to watch any or all of these movies  Beneath Her Veil, Night for Sex, Where Does Beauty Go? and  One Minute Man . Various Nollywood stars such as  Moyo Lawal, Clarion Chukwura, Tony Umez, Mary Njoku, Seun Akindele, Aderonke Shittu, Benjamin Lugo  and many others starred in these four movies and those who watched these movies attested to the fact that the 50 Naira Story is a remarkable initiative. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Angelique Kidjo & More Awarded Honorary Doctorate Degrees by Yale University

Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy,  Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala , and renowned African music superstar,  Angelique Kidjo  have been awarded honorary doctorate degrees by  Yale University . Okonjo-Iweala was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree, and Kidjo was awarded a Doctor of Music degree. Yale News  made the announcement. After stealing the show at the Billboard Music Awards, the "Bad Blood" singer and her pal Ed Sheeran threw a star-studded afterparty at the Nobu Villa at Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The 25-year-old superstar let loose following her 8 big wins and it was all captured in the awesome photo booth  —  complete with costumes and props  —  on    hand at the fete. They were both picked for the Mother - Daughter campaign for awareness of Iron deficiency anaemia in women and teenage girls. Ebola Cases Rise in Guinea & Sierra Leone – WHO

The  World Health Organisation   (WHO) , confirmed on Tuesday that Ebola has spread further in  Guinea  and  Sierra Leone . Bruce Aylward , WHO Special Representative for Ebola in  Geneva , told a technical briefing attended by health ministers that there were 36 new cases in the past week. He said the situation was four times as many cases as the week before. Aylward said the findings were an indication that the virus would not go quietly and it would take an extraordinary effort to finish the job. Liberia was declared Ebola-free earlier in May. VP Namadi Sambo and wife ask for forgiveness as they leave office

Vice-President Namadi Sambo, and wife, Amina Sambo, on Monday urged those they offended to forgive them. The vice-president, who spoke to newsmen shortly after a valedictory meeting with his supporting members of staff at Aguda House, Abuja, said he had forgiven all those he had interracted with in the last five years. According to him, he has enjoyed good and cordial working relationship with all his supporting members of staff. “Whether in government or outside government, we will continue to contribute towards the development of the country. And also, we have enjoyed working together and we have become one family with our staff and we assure them that we shall always be there for them. Also, we pray that all those that we have offended during this period, we beg for their forgiveness and we forgive all those that have done anything wrong to us.’’he said Sambo thanked the staff for their support and cooperation and urged them to extend the same to the incoming administration.
