Fayose presents N80.774bn budget to seven PDP lawmakers

Image
Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose on Monday presented a N80.774bn   budget for 2015 to the Ekiti State House of Assembly. While presenting the budget, the governor dared the opposition All Progressives Congress lawmakers in the state to attempt to overrun the state, saying they would be dealt with by the people. The budget christened, “Budget of Reality,” was presented to the state lawmakers amid tight security. The budget represents 77.7 per cent of former Governor Kayode Fayemi’s 2014 budget of N103.8bn. The APC lawmakers in the House were absent at the plenary even as the chamber was filled to capacity by members of the Peoples Democratic Party, government officials and supporters of the governor. Fayose urged the assembly to examine the draft budget and to further articulate the needs of the electorate and appropriate public funds for their realisation. He said any attempt to overrun the Assembly by the APC lawmakers, who had ran away from the state for over two we

Camille Cosby Speaks Out, Defends Husband Bill the 'Victim'

Image
As the number of women accusing Bill Cosby of sexual assault continues to grow, there is one who won't leave his side… his wife of 50 years, Camille Cosby. Camille, who has five children with Bill, released a new statement in support of her husband on Monday. "I met my husband, Bill Cosby, in 1963, and we were married in 1964. The man I met, and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work," she begins. "He is a kind man, a generous man, a funny man, and a wonderful husband, father and friend. He is the man you thought you knew. "A different man has been portrayed in the media over the last two months. It is the portrait of a man I do not know. It is also a portrait painted by individuals and organizations whom many in the media have given a pass. There appears to be no vetting of my husband's accusers before stories are published or aired. An accusation is published, and immediately goes viral."

Prince William Looks Exactly Like Prince George in His Childhood Pic—See the Side-by-Side Comparison!

Image
Not that there was ever any doubt about Prince George's paternity, but wow, this side-by-side comparison is photo evidence of paternity if ever there was! Prince William used to look exactly like little Georgie does in his newly released holiday photos--they've got the same hairstyle, same nose, same eyes and same adorably chubby rosy cheeks! Sixteen-month-old George appears to have gotten some of mom Kate Middleton's stunning features, too. William, now 32, was likely a toddler trendsetter back in his day, too, but thanks to the Internet, George's stylistic influence is more apparent on a worldwide scale. The adorable Cath Kidston Guards sweater he wore in those royal photos flew off the shelves. Within moments, the $27 top was sold out! And in case you missed the memo, tots, white collared shirts, black knee socks and comfy but cute black buckle shoes are all the rage right now. George better make the most of his time as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's

Outrage as Okupe compares Jonathan with Jesus Christ

Image
Nigerians have severely criticised the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, for comparing President Goodluck Jonathan with Jesus Christ. Speaking during a live breakfast show on Channels Television on Monday, the presidential aide said Jonathan had borne the nation’s problems and woes on his shoulders in the same way that Jesus Christ had always carried the burden of Christians all over the world. Gesticulating widely during the programme, Okupe stated that, with regard to the Nigerian situation, Jonathan could best be likened to Jesus Christ. Noting that Nigerians had failed to understand the troubles the President had gone through for the sake of “everybody” in the country, he said, “There are political issues. People do not understand the burden this particular President is bearing. He is like Jesus Christ. He (Jonathan) is bearing the burden of everybody.” In view of Jonathan’s “untold burden” for the nation, Okupe said, it would
