Military Uncovers List & Sketches of Towns to be Attacked by Boko Haram

Troops operating in the North-East have captured documents containing list and sketches of communities and towns apparently slated for attack, from fleeing terrorists in Adamawa. This is contained in a post on the website of the Defence Headquarters obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja. It said in two separate operations spanning Adamawa and Bauchi states, the troops also killed 27 suspected terrorists during fierce confrontations in a bid to rid the areas of insurgency. “During a hot pursuit of the terrorists around Hildi, Adamawa, at least seven of the terrorists lost their lives. “A total of five rifles, hundreds of rounds of ammunition as well as bows and arrows were captured from them. “During an operation conducted on Balmo and Lame forests linking Borno, Bauchi and Adamawa states, the troops recovered rifles and a number of motorcycles, and after resistance, the terrorists were crushed. “Over 20 of the terrorists lost their lives while s

17 year old Pakistani girl rights activist, Malala Yousafzai received her Nobel Peace Prize today  Dec. 10th at the city hall in Oslo, Norway. She won the award in October alongside Indian activist Kailash Satyarthi. Receiving her award, Malala said "I tell my story, not because it is unique, but because it is not. It is the story of many girls. I am pretty certain that I am also the first recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize who still fights with her younger brothers". Nigerian woman allegedly murdered by husband in Houston, Texas

A Nigerian woman named  Anastacia Oaikhena Lambert (pictured left) was found dead in her home in Houston, Texas on Monday December 8th and Houston police are now looking for her estranged husband, Achilles Lambert, who has gone missing with the couple's 11 month old baby. 27 year old Anastacia was found stabbed to death and her body stuffed inside a refrigerator in the Houston apartment. The decomposing body was found by maintenance workers after a strong foul odor was perceived coming from the woman's home. The couple's 11 months old son is now believed to be with  38-year-old Patrick Lambert, who police suspect killed his estranged wife and they have put his face out. Just two months ago, Anastacia called 911 to report that her husband was threatening her with a knife but when police got there the couple had settled and no charges were ever filed. Oritsejafor drags Fashola to court over plans to demolish his Lagos church

The President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, has instituted a law suit against Lagos state Governor, Babatunde Fashola over the state government's plan to demolish the Lagos branch of his church, Word of Life Bible Church, situated on Plot 21E, Abdulrahman Okene Close, off Ligali Ayorinde Street Victoria Island Annex. In the suit filed before Justice Deborah Oluwayemi of a Lagos High Court, Tafawa Balewa Square, Pastor Ayo and the Incorporated Trustees of his church asked the court for an order of interlocutory injunction, restraining the state government from demolishing, destroying, dispossessing or forcibly ejecting the church from the property. According to court papers obtained by The Nation, Pastor Ayo alleged that after applying for a building plan approval from the state government and it was not forth coming within the regular period, he made due enquires personally by writing several letters and holding meetings with the former and
